They’d either jump past it, over it, or they’d jump and the Kinect wouldn’t recognize they were jumping. One puzzle involved having to jump up on a little raised platform, and the controls are so awful my kids were not able to do it.

That would be all right for an adult, but it’s not fun for a 5-year old. You run your avatar around with characters from various Pixar movies and are presented with puzzles, sometimes given with no hints. The gameplay is also repetitive and confusing. My kids would get too far forward or too far right or left, and they had a lot of trouble with the controls. Kids tend to jump around as they try to have fun with the game, but the Kinect penalizes you for that. Then we got to the actual game, which wasn’t much better than navigating the menus. We spent most of our time slogging through this process and I wanted to snap the Kinect in half. It only gives you a few seconds to complete this scan before popping up an error message and forcing you to start the process all the way over again from the beginning. My son did that, several times but the Kinect refused to register his knees or elbows. At one point you have to stand up straight with your arms & legs spread out, inside a green outline. The Kinect flat out refused to scan in my other son. You can change some of the avatar’s features manually, but the Kinect menu interfaces are so frustrating to use we skipped that. The avatar it made for one of my kids looked a little bit like him but not really. Anyway, this specific game is for up to two players, and is supposed to scan them into the Pixar world with the Kinect camera. If, like my kids, you are age appropriate for the games, the Kinect will be a frustrating obstacle to gameplay and you’ll be switching back to a controller-operated game after a few minutes. If you are old enough to get around all of its annoying quirks, you are not going to be interested in playing the kiddie Kinect games. The biggest problem with Kinect is that 99% of its games are designed for kids but it requires the patience & precision of an adult to use. I should have learned my lesson with the atrocious Kinect Star Wars, but no. This game is terrible because the Kinect is terrible. It spent about 30 minutes in the system before my kids turned it off in frustration, and we spent 20 of those minutes simply trying to set up in-game avatars for them. It spent about 30 Bought this for a Christmas present for my kids b/c it was on sale, thinking they would love it based on the description. … Expandīought this for a Christmas present for my kids b/c it was on sale, thinking they would love it based on the description. Well, to resume: a game oriented towards children, and that allows more than one player, which makes it ideal for those who like to play with their children, especially those who love the animations of Pixar (and which child do not like them?) - specifically for these cases recommended, my score is 7.5 / 10.0. And for each phase can be some variation of it - I do not know if it was only here (or if the problem is me, since the game would be for children), but the controls to run it is not very accurate.

The gameplay, obviously aims at the target public, and is simple: you use the trunk to turn, and moves his arms to run (also the legs to go faster). The sounds and music are very well done, as in the animations in question.

The graphics are very good in parts of the scenarios of the animations, outside it, in the Park, the game resembles the Kinect Adventures Disneyland ones in the animations scenarios to each "set" you are transformed into one of the characters (eg: Ratatouille you are a mouse), and the actions are based in mini-games.
